Evacuation of Hungnam involving the safe withdrawal of the bulk of UN forces in eastern North Korea. Korean refugees disembarking from boats, near a U.S. Landing Ship Tank (LST). Other Labor unions support UAW-CIO strike against General Motors Company

At beginning, film shows John L. Lewis, head of the United Mine Workers, at the microphone on a podium, being applauded after pledging his union's support to the striking United Auto Workers (UAW). Slate reads: "Fisher, Flint." Scene shifts to view of a building with sign reading: "Local 581, Affiliate, UAWA. CIO." Several cars parked in front of the building suddenly start up and drive to the site of a picket line at the Fisher Body Works. They are a UAW squad of cars dispatched to prevent strike breakers from crossing the picket lines. A long line of the UAW cars, called "the flying squadron" is seen on a highway. The union strike committee is seen in a meeting. They decide to call on other union locals to join the picketing at Fisher plant No. 1. Next numerous members of other union locals are seen joining the Local 581 pickets. Among them, Leo Pritzky, of the Clothing Workers Union, is seen pledging the support of every union in the CIO (Congress of Industrial Organizations) for the UAW in its fight with the General Motors Corporation. Dr HM Washburn wins over tribals in Bakubaland, Belgian Congo

Protestant missionary bring Christianity, education and medical aid to illiterate Pagan tribes in Bakubaland, Belgian Congo. Tribal warriors out side huts in a village, they move in the jungle to stop Dr Washburn, a missionary. Men carry Dr H M Washburn in a palanquin being stopped by warriors carrying weapons. Washburn convinces them and is allowed to enter the village. Washburn visits other villages. He gives salt to a tribal boy and he licks the salt signifying bond of friendship. Washburn sit on a carpet laid out on the ground as tribal chiefs offer gifts to accept his friendship.

Dr HM Washburn gets consent of King Lukenga to set up Bulape mission station at Bakubaland in Belgian Congo

'Light shines in Bakubaland Part II ' Protestant missionary bring Christianity, education and medical aid to illiterate Pagan tribes in Belgian Congo. Dr H M Washburn lives with tribal and acquaints himself with their customs, language and beliefs. He sits at a desk as tribesmen sit on the ground and speak to him as he takes down notes. Men and women perform a tribal dance, men wearing colorful costumes and headgear dance and beat drum. Washburn carried by tribesmen in a palanquin as he arrives at the bank of a lake. He rows across the lake in a boat and arrives at Bulape, capital of Bakubaland. He meets King Lukenga and seeks his consent to set up a mission station. After receiving the consent tribesmen start the construction of Mission Station under Dr Washburn's supervision. Dr Washburn and his wife sit under a tent and talk.
