A U.S. Army Air Forces Captain (instructor) and a Lieutenant, pilot, walk the flight line past parked P-47 Thunderbolt aircraft. They stop at one, and the instructor climbs on its wing root, showing the Lieutenant that the wing flaps have been left down to prevent someone from stepping on them. The Lieutenant climbs into the cockpit as the instructor stands on the wing and points out controls of the aircraft. Included are controls for fuel selection; trim tabs; emergency hydraulic pump; gun heat; wing flaps; landing gear. They look up as a P-47 passes low overhead. Then, the instructor continues clockwise around the cockpit noting the quadrant of turbo, throttle, and mixture controls. He covers switches, warning lights, flight instruments, and engine instruments and other things. Scene shifts to aerial view of a P-47 in flight above clouds, and then to oxygen controls and indicators. Closeup of pilot wearing oxygen mask. More views of cockpit and controls and indicators. Men get out of a car and walk up to an observation tower. Observers look through binoculars. Man comes out of shack on top of the tower. Woman at window of shack makes notations. Civilians learn about interception at a control and intercept station. Men and women learn to place marker on a flat control board.
Navajo Native American Indian family move from their winter house to summer house. The winter house is made from wooden logs. The head of the family, wears a silver belt around his waist,handkerchief tied around his head and necklaces in neck. He loads bedding, hand made blankets and sheep skin onto the cart. Pets like kittens and pups are also kept into the cart. The lady of the house moves out her sheep and goats . The eldest Navajo boy is a good horse rider and carries a bow and arrow on his horse as he guides the flock of sheep behind the cart . The family including the father,mother,daughter and youngers son boards the cart. The young child is strapped to a baby board. The whole family moves towards the valley. On their way they meet other Navajo families. Its night now and the family plans a halt.The other families gather around camp fire and sings and dance. Young and old ones enjoy the camp fire and smile.
