U.S. Coast Guard (CG) enlisted men engaged in vessel maintenance during World War 2. Men wearing jeans use a scraper, a chipping hammer, and an electric wire wheel to prepare the deck for new paint on the stern of a Landing Ship Tank (LST). Another enlisted man welds a cleat to the deck of the LST while underway.
