Queen Elizabeth II visits Wellington, New Zealand. A newsreel, titled 'Queen Reaches Wellington', shows a people waving at a train as it moves over a bridge. Train stops at a station and Queen Elizabeth II along with Prince Phillip, Duke of Edinburgh, get down and meet the dignitaries. They again board the train and wave at people. Some civilians wave New Zealand flags. On reaching Wellington, New Zealand huge crowds flock on the roadsides to welcome the queen as she meets some dignitaries.

Allied Forces fight the Japanese in the South Pacific during World War II. U.S. transport airplanes bring supplies for the American and the Australian soldiers in New Guinea. The natives look up as the planes fly. The planes swoop and drop supplies. The Allied soldiers pick up the supplies from the mountainside. The troops clean their rifles. The Australian troops on offensive against the Japanese. The troops return back to the outposts. The natives carry wounded soldiers to the field hospitals. Soldiers tend to the wounded. A soldier lights a cigarette for another who is on a stretcher. A soldier with his arm in a sling. The Australian soldiers walk through ankle deep mud.
Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip visit the Ruakari and Aranui caves in New Zealand. The couple enters the cave and moves down a staircase. Limestone formations such as stalactites are seen hanging from the roof of the cave.
