Injured Marines on stretchers are seen being carried to a Douglas R4D transport aircraft, before a closeup shot of more soldiers on stretchers lying on the ground. Then Jane Kendeigh, the first Navy flight nurse to land in an active Pacific combat zone, is seen speaking to one of the men on the ground. A few soldiers are seen being moved into another R4D transport plane, with Kendeigh watching. Then, a closeup shot of Kendeigh and another Marine examining something on a clipboard, before another stretcher is loaded onto the plane. Kendeigh is seen inside the airplane, speaking to a few of the men, some sitting and some wounded lying on beds or stretchers. Finally, a closeup of one soldier, appearing to be asleep.

He is laid down in a row next to other injured soldiers on stretchers, before they are lifted, one by one, into the aircraft. There are also more identical ships in the background, all sailing in the English Channel towards Normandy, France in advance of the D-Day invasion of France. The camera cuts to another direction, which shows many more of the same ship, some also with cargo in tow. In this shot, there is land off in the distance, and a few barrage balloons in the sky above the LCIs. The final shot is of a long convoy of ships far off in the distance.

A WW2 LCVP Higgins Boat is then seen maneuvering through semi-choppy water, presumably toward the beaches of Normandy during D-Day invasion. Three groups of planes in formation are then shown far overhead, before the clip cuts back to footage of Higgins Boats. Low level shot across choppy seas of many more Higgins Boats in the water. View of another LCVP moored beside a much larger attack transport ship.
