Building material for the Central Valley Project Shasta Dam being transported with the help of the world's largest conveyor built; a Good Year rubber belt for hauling materials for constructing the dam. Railroad of rubber stretching from Redding California to the dam site, being used to transport building materials at Shasta Dam construction site.
A map shows the rubber producing regions in the wet tropical areas along the equator. Workers in South America, possibly Brazil, extract latex on a rubber tree and collect it in containers. Acetic acid is used to thicken the latex. Workers fold and pile up flat rubber sheets.
A blast furnace of Ford company's River Rouge Plant at Dearborn Michigan is seen. Molten iron is produced in the furnaces from iron ore, coke, and limestone. Molten iron is poured from the cast house runners into ladle cars. Some of the molten steel is poured into a 'pig' machine at the world's largest foundry; individual 'pigs' or small ingots of solid iron will be used by other industries. Other molten iron is seen being poured into the hot metal mixer, which rocks continuously to mix the iron from several blast furnace heats. Smokestacks outside the power house and a group of people tours the power house. A bank of coke ovens at the plant are seen, with a charge of incandescent coke being pushed into a quenching car.

Allied soldiers in trucks enter the city as huge crowds welcome them. U.S. troops riding in M4 Sherman tanks. Knocked out German tanks and 88mm guns mounted on half tracks. Captured German Panther tank of 11.Pz.Div in Meximieux, abandoned Pz.III and Hummel 150mm SP Howitzer. General Patch's Army and the United States 3rd Army troops enter the city of Bourg. Thank You banners are displayed at two windows.
British Royal Air Force Lancaster bomber aircraft drop bombs over German targets during World War II. Bombs impact causing a pillar of smoke to rise up. United States Army Air Force 8th and 15th Air Force using B-17 bombers attack the industrial town of Pforzeheim at night. British Lancaster bomber aircraft also assist the American forces, destroying the city completely.
