First, the boy from the upper class, Guilford, speaks to his parents in their living room, with a maid present. Middle class boy, Ted, at the dinner table with his parents and sister. Lower class boy, Dave, with extended family to celebrate graduation. Dave pumps gas at an Amoco gasoline station. He wears a white t-shirt and baseball cap. "Amoco no lead" is seen on the gas pump or petrol pump. Guilford, dressed in a suit and driving a 1956 Cadillac, pulls into the Amoco service station and talks to Dave. At his father's office, Guilford shakes hands with Ted. Ted in a suit walks in downtown Madison, New Jersey while thinking. In New York, Ted works at the art department in an advertising firm. Ted draws an advertisement for a refrigerator at his desk. A door with a sign on it, "Art Department, Theodore Eastwood, Director" Ted with other men at a golf course wearing latest mens golf fashions. Ted tees off at the golf course. Ted arrives home at the Convent Station, New Jersey railroad station. Many 1950s American automobiles seen in the car parking lot. He talks to a woman sitting in a convertible and to her husband, Guilford. At the Amoco gas station in Madison, Dave, now dressed in a mechanic's coveralls, shakes Teds hand. Close up of identification card for a baby at a hospital. The card reads "Benton Baby" and has an image of a stork on it. Nurse takes baby from mother in a hospital bed and puts the baby in a crib. She rolls the baby crib into the hospital nursery.
