White House staff farewell address by departing President Richard Nixon, at the White House in Washington DC, after the President's resignation. A crowd of people seated in the East Room of White House. President Nixon with Mrs Nixon, his two daughters and their husbands enters the room. His assistants, advisors including Dr Henry Kissinger and others applaud. President Nixon waves. He starts his final speech, a farewell speech to the White House staff. Nixon recalls his poor family background, his parents and death of his brothers and becomes choked-up in the speech several times. Emotional staff members are shown.
