Austro-Hungarian soldiers pose with a 77mm Krupp field gun, model 1914, on display in a public square. Several curious civilians take note of them. Another view of the soldiers posing with two such guns, as several civilians walk nearby. In background, across the Danube River (based on information in the film opening slate) are significant large buildings of a major city. Several officers come to stand in front of one of the guns, as a soldier brings a 77mm shell out for all to see. Another soldier also displays a shell up for the camera. Scene shifts back to the initial location and soldiers standing by their gun.

A 1940 movie entitled "Weltraum Schiff I Startet Eine Technische Fantasie" (Space Ship I launches a technical fantasy). Imaginary view of moon shining over Lake Constance in Friedrichshafen in the future. Views of a huge hangar and industrial complex with a rocket on a launch pad. A large crowd is gathered and listens to a technician speak about a moon rocket.project. Supposedly, the director of the Friedrichshafen airship shipyard speaks to some reporters about aircraft, flying, rocketry, and space travel, while speaking about manned rocket flight to the moon. He answers questions from members of the press corps. Animated pictures show critical distance for escaping earth's gravity and other aspects of a moon flight. Posters of various German Dornier airplanes line the briefing room, including: a circa 1937 Dornier Do 17; Dornier Do 24 3-engined flying boat; Do-X 6-engined flying boat; Dornier Do J II Wal; Dornier Do-19 aircraft; Dornier Do-18 push-pull twin engine flying boat, and the mammoth Do-X twelve-engine flying boat with its date, 1929, stenciled on the bottom of its left wing. From this point on, the narrator continues speaking but the images are of actual applications of rocketry to land vehicles and aircraft. Stands are crowded with spectators at University of Oklahoma's Owen Field, in Norman, Oklahoma, for a game between the Oklahoma "Sooners" and "the fighting Irish" of Notre Dame, on November 16, 1957. Although Oklahoma came into the game with a 47 game winning streak,they lose this game to Notre Dame, 7 to zero. In the telling play, Quarterback Bob Williams (number 9) throws to back, Dick Lynch (number 25) , who runs around the right end, untouched, for the only touchdown in this upset game. (Stickles, of Notre Dame kicked the extra point to make it a 7-0 ballgame.) Scene shifts to presentation of the Heisman trophy to halfback, John David Crow, of Texas A&M on December 11, 1957. Sequence shifts again, to football fans watching Canada's Grey Cup Classic,on November 30th, 1957. They see a long Winnipeg pass intercepted by Hamilton player, Ray Bawel, who runs it back for a sure touchdown, when he suddenly falls, having been tripped by Winnipeg fan, David Humphrey, who was standing on the sideline. Bawel gets up angrily, and goes back toward Humphrey, but is restrained by officials. Another unusual 1957 game is shown in which the players contend with rain and mud that makes play practically impossible.
