Training film of bayonet assault drill in 1938, pre WW2. A group of U.S. Army soldiers run through a field with bayonets pointed forward, a line of training dummies in the background. The soldiers lay prone in a grassy field, firing upon their mock enemy. Shot of the "enemy" soldiers, cowering in a trench to protect themselves from the gunfire. Now pinned in the trench, the group of soldiers in the field stand up to advance on the enemy with bayonets. The men charge the trench with bayonets at the ready. The "enemy" soldiers in the trench flee in disarray.
