World War 2 Luftwaffe training film about operation of the Messerschmitt Me-262 jet aircraft. Senior pilot describing controls in the Me-262 to another pilot seated in the cockpit. Camera shows engine power level and exhaust gas temperature gauges for the twin engines. Pilot in cockpit moves throttle lever. Engines are started. Camera focuses on flames emitted from rear of engine as they increase and decrease in response to pilots control pressure. Left engine fuel consumption rate indicator seen increasing. Pilot moves left engine power control forward. Next both fuel consumption gauges are back to idle. The instructor and trainee converse some more. Pilot slowly moves right engine control forward and fuel flow indicator reflects this. Some toggle switches are adjusted. Power is reduced, and gauges reflect it. German pilot gets acquainted with cockpit and controls of ME-262 aircraft, during World War II

German World War 2 training film about the Messerschmitt Me-262 jet airplane. German ground crewman cleans engine nacelle marked "B4" on left wing of an Me-262 jet airplane, while another stands on the wing looking into the cockpit. The number "10" and "JL" are displayed on the fuselage. Two Luftwaffe pilots converse while standing near the aircraft. A ground crewman gives Nazi salute and appears to report the aircraft ready. The two pilots walk past the front of the airplane. Covers are in place over the engine intakes. While the pilots converse, a ground crewman removes the covers. The pilots walk to the engine, and the senior (presumably instructor) pilot removes a cap from its top and climbs up on the engine, as a ground crewman installs a screen in the engine intake (presumably to minimize foreign object damage from ground operation). The student pilot sits in the cockpit as the instructor pilot explains the aircraft displays and controls. Closeup of labels over the switches in the cockpit. Closeup of individual levers marked E5, E6, and E7, with on and off positions. Engine throttles (power levers) with pilot's gloved hand on them. Closeup of the instructor and student discussing aircraft controls. Schematic diagram showing throttle controls and metering of fuel to their respective engines.

Pilots gloved hand points to engine starting controls. View of pilot's feet on rudder pedals. Pilot pulls on a long lever in the front panel and releases it. More views of engine controls. Pilot points to engine start buttons and grasps power control lever. Another brief view of pilot's hand on flight control control stick. Film fades to the officer describing these actions while seated in his office. Closeup of an ME-262 performance graph showing altitude vs. airspeed. It is marked at 620 Km per hour and some undiscernible altitude. (World War II; WW II; World War 2; World War Two)
