A crowd of spectators is lined up at the edge of the square. British officers maneuver a British Mark IV tank into the square where French and British officers confer. Many children are seen watching at edge of the town square. An officer moves some of them back from the camera, as he walks by.
French Marshal Ferdinand Foch, Commanding General of the Allied forces, welcomed by Native American Indian Crow tribe members, as he arrives by railroad train during a visit in the United States soon after the end of World War I. Other United States officials are present at the event, held at Crow Agency, Montana on the Crow Reservation. Native Americans give gifts to Marshal Foch and perform a traditional dance to welcome Marshal Foch.
