A mortar shell is loaded with supplies and a launcher fires supply shells. Japanese-American soldiers advance in the Vosges Mountains of France, defeat the German soldiers there, take some Germans prisoner, and and rescue the U.S. Army Lost Battalion members. Relief forces arrive and wounded soldiers are rescued and transported in jeeps. Soldiers of Japanese ancestry in U.S. Army are honored for their bravery. United States Army General Dahlquist presents awards to 442nd Regimental Combat Team Japanese-American soldiers and salutes them. Soldiers raise the United States flag.
