Carlson's Raiders display captured Japanese flags, radio, cavalry sword and wallet following their epic, "Long March" behind Japanese lines on Guadalcanal, Solomon islands.
Members of the U.S. Second Marine Raider Battalion display captured Japanese war souvenirs on Guadalcanal, Solomon Islands, in World War 2. Opening scene shows members of the U.S. Second Marine Raider Battalion celebrating their victory and exhibiting captured Japanese flags, weapons, and other souvenirs. One marine playfully tries using a captured Japanese NCO's sword to shave the beard of another marine. The next scene shows the Battalion Commander, Lieutenant Colonel Evans F. Carlson, with several of his Raiders, holding a captured Japanese flag.
