Television broadcast of U.S. President Richard Nixon's speech from the White House in Washington DC, United States on the withdrawal of the remaining U.S. troops from Vietnam on 29th March 1973 during the Vietnam War. President Nixon talks about prosperity in the United States without war abroad and without inflation at home. He says that inflation is a terrible cost of war with which the United States is battling at home presently. He speaks about cutting the rate of inflation by controlling meat prices. He says that the U.S. has increased imports from abroad and production at home which will increase meat supply and he has ordered Council of Cost to impose ceiling of prices so that the meat price does not increase any higher. President Nixon says he has submitted 268 billion dollars of federal budget to the Congress this year and if this budget increases as proposed by the Congress then that would mean an increase in taxes by 15% or an increase in the prices. He says he shall veto bills which will break the federal budget he has submitted.

The procession and crowd goes toward a wedding pavillion set up in courtyard of the Synagogue. Policemen work to control the crowd. Rabbi Chaim Elazar speaks to the crowd, in Yiddish, exhorting Jews in America to keep the Sabbath. The crowd mills around as several persons make their way through the gates of the courtyard, being protected by police.The wedding party proceeds through Synagogue grounds to the wedding canopy, where Cantor Mordekhai Salomon sings and a Klezmer band plays. Reportedly, over 20,000 guests attended the wedding from all over Europe and the U.S.
Germany invades France, during World War II. German troops invade French town of Marquion, in the Pas-de-Calais department in the Hauts-de-France region. Horse-drawn carriages loaded with French refugee families and belongings move along a road. Street signs on road number 15 point toward Sauchy-Lestrée 2 km away, and Avrincourt, 12 km away. A chalk drawn arrow points toward Arras. French families evacuate using bicycles, baby carriages, and wagons. German troops arrive on motorcycles. Numerous German Pz.I, Pz.II, Pz.III and Pz.IV tanks pass through the village. Smoke rises from a burning building.
